Pendleton First Church of God

The "MISSION" of the First Church of God in Pendleton, Oregon is: to be a loving fellowship, commited to Christ and inspired to lead all persons to Salvation through HIM

Pendleton, Oregon is on the EAST side of the Cascade Mountain Range right on Interstate 84. The town is famous for the Pendleton Round-Up, which happens every September. Pendleton is in the heart of the Oregon wheat farms. Union Pacific Railways winds it's way through the heart of town. Many historic Oregon events occured in Pendleton as Oregon developed and became a state.

The Church of God in the United States comprises of about 2,500 congregations and approximately 300,000 persons who attend services at those congregations.

We believe in Jesus Christ as our only Saviour and in the experience of God working in our lives to forgive and redeem us and we confess our sins and accept Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.

The reason the name "CHURCH OF GOD" is used for our church is because it is biblical. What better place from which to retreive a name for a group who worships God. More than a dozen other denominations use the name "CHURCH OF GOD". Our particular church has home offices in Anderson, Indiana. We make no claim to the exclusive use of the biblical name. One becomes a member of our church by attending our services on a regular basis and by acknowleging Jesus Christ as Saviour.

We are rooted in Wesleyan-Arminian evangelicalism.
