Now, understand that Bonnie is OWNED BY ME, Cocoa the KING Quesinberry. I "toss", she fetches, carries and brings to ME... not the other way around: as she might lead you to believe. She is our servant and entertainment.
Another thing! I'm sick of being called a "wild, exotic animal." Pet ferrets were domesticated in 3000 BC, BEFORE THE CAT, by dang! And, we are European, NOT Black Foot: originally albinos later cross bred with European Pole Cats. The farmers just thought they were going to make us better rodent hunters. Well, despite their best efforts, we live to eat, sleep and play.
Most of all, people need to realize that we require special care and handling. We aren't sure footed... we get under your feet! Rubber and plastic toys can kill us... because we try to eat them. And, we aren't for small children. We might get hurt! So, puh--leeease, handle us with great care.
NOTE FROM BONNIE: Any time I find everything pulled out of my linen closet, Cocoa looks at me as if to say, "Whaaat? I didn't do that! The stuff just fell out." He then scampers off, leaving the mess for me. Typical ferret...into everything, steals any thing of interest and successfully hides it: always in the same spot! Doesn't matter how big it is either! Cocoa and his Princess, however, are exceedingly obedient on the Lord's Sabbath: that is, until sundown! PLEASE PRAY FOR COCOA. He is very ill and won't even be 4yo until July.
