We walk among powers and
principalities,
our eyes firmly closed against
realities;
yet, with our mouths we
speak belief
and cry out for relief.
Oh, you fools, can you not see
the great power
you attempt to deceive?
We've become an "I" society,
our obedience to principality.
Oh, yes our allegiance to a nation
full of hate and evil elation,
where illicit gain
is called fame
and lies
merely a corporate game.

So bow down to lust called love
while declaring:
"Trust God above!"
Kneel reverently to
the principal of "I,"
firmly grasping the power
to buy.
BUT! dare you not weep,
for your soul the devil keeps!
Yes, among powers and
principalities we walk,
of our own greatness and
wonder we talk;
and, to the principal we
kneel and pray,
dutifully paying homage
each and every day.
Have you so easily forgotten
the power above?
Forsaken His law and
shunned His merciful love?

How can you reverently kneel
to man's law
so full of pain and flaw?
How can you say,
"To God I pray!"
when you shun His law
and His day?
Of powers and principalities
we have a choice,
and only in power
will we rejoice!
