SPECIALISATION:
33+ years of experience in working with India’s leading power sector Utility including 23 years exclusively in Conceptualization, site selection, feasibility study, DPR preparation, design & engineering, tendering, bid evaluation & award, construction, Operation & Maintenance of utility scale Solar Power and Wind Power projects. Played key role in introduction of renewable energy power plants in NTPC’s capacity addition plan.
Assisted Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India in Policy formulation of capacity addition through Renewable Energy in the country including enhancement of solar installed capacity to 100GW, evaluation of nationwide solar potential, identification of 20,000 MW solar parks across the country, business models for disbursement of subsidies for solar projects, modifications in related statutory laws, encouraging domestic manufacturing of solar equipment etc.
Facilitated reduction of solar tariffs from Rs. 17 in 2010 to under Rs. 3 in 2018 progressively by supporting MNRE and facilitating development of nationwide solar park schemes, green corridor for power transmission, reverse auction methodology of bidding.
