| Classes have begun research projects. Each student must pick a time period (Medieval, Renniasance, Baroque, Classial, Romantic, 20th Century) and then pick one composer and one visual artist from the same time period. A short biography of each is needed as well as a picture of each. Students must also research a sport or althletic even of the same time period (Note: In 20th century, students must stick to the "classical" variety, jazz, type of music. Rap, hip/hop, contemporary pop music will not be accepted and students have been told this.) No homework is needed unless students would like to print out research at home to read in class. Some library time will be used to do research. Students must bring in pictures from home or library time. All other research is done during class time. Materials to make posters (with the exception of the pictures) will be provided during class time. Composition project will take place in the spring time. |
