Written 11 - Oct. 1821 . . probated 6 - Nov. 1821 In the names of God, Amen I, WILLIAM TILLER of Russell County and Commonwealth of Virginia, being weak in body by reason of sickness, age and infirmity, but perfect in mind and memory thanks be to God for all mercies and calling to mind the mortality of my body knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die Vc, do make constitue and appoint this my last will and testament that is to say, princepaly first I recomend my soul unto God who gave it and my body I recommend to the earth from whence it was taken to be buried in a decent Christian manner and form without pomp or vanity at the descresion of my executors in hope of a joyful resurrection by the Almighty power of God and as for what worldly estate it has pleased God to bless me with in this life, I give and bequesth the following: * First, I request all my lawful debts to be punctually paid. * Item: I give to my son Samuel Tiller one dollar. * Item: I give to my daughter Jamima Corban once Tiller one dollar. * Item: I give to my daughter Nancy Wilburn once Tiller I give one dollar. * Item to my son William Tiller I give one dollar. * Item to my daughter Patsy Tiller I give one note that I hold on Reubin Hicks for $47.50 cents the one that becomes due first, also a cow and calf that is called her own at this time also a little spinning wheale. * Item to my daughter Polly Tiller I give my improvement where I now live also my yearling heifer and crops of all kinds only 50 bushels of corn to be sold also my mare but is she proves to be with foal the colt is excepted after sucking mare first summer also my household furniture and one small ax. * Item I give to Anderson Moul a son of Sissy Moul the colt above excepted and further if ever my pension is record I give thirty dollars to Sissy Moul also I give my daughter Patsy thirty dollars and balance I give my daughter Polly and the ballance of my property must be sold on 12 months credit to wit. All my farming tools and cooper tooles and fifty bushels of corn and one note on Rubins Hicks. I do hereby ordain constitute and appoint Richard Jackson my exector this my last Will and Testament ratifying and confirming this and this only be my last Will revoking disannulling all and every other will or bequest by me made confirming this the last.
