A Military Guide to the Dragonarmies as detailed by Highlord Ariakas, Emperor of Krynn. The dragonarmies are not a group of brigands or unruly nomads. They are professional soldiers, and thus are not just well-trained in the arts of warfare, but also have a chain of command that is strictly adhered to. *First rule: Obey your superiors. They have power over your future within the army, both through promotions as well as through demotions. The Queen of Darkness has seen fit to gather five dragonarmies: The red, led by the powerful Dragon Highlord Ariakas, the blue, led by the renown Dark Lady Kitiara, the black, led by the ruthless Salah-Kahn, the green, led by the crafty Lucien of the Draconians, and the white, led by the dark elf Feal-Thas. Each of these armies has its own command chain, thus an officer of one army does not hold any authority over a soldier in another army. Fighting between these five armies is permitted by the Queen of Darkness. Her Mightiness wants no weaklings under her banner, and such competition weeds those people out, leaving only the strong and cunning to serve Her. To further this end, Takhisis has offered the mortal rulership of Krynn to the army that proves itself to be the most powerful of Her armies. Thus, there is a deadly competition between the five armies to prove themselves supreme, with one only helping the other if there is some gain in it for them. Fighting within the respective armies is, however, frowned upon by the Highlords. It does nothing to further their personal goals, and such actions are typically punished ruthlessly by the Highlord's officers. The same goes with soldiers attacking and raiding other sentient groups. Without the explicit orders of a high-ranking officer, a soldier may not go on the offensive against another. Doing so breaks the chain of command, and may bring ruin to the plans of ones superiors. It may also bring suspicion down upon the soldier, who may be thought of as doing contract work outside of the army, or worse, seen as an infiltrator from another of the dragonarmies. Those who get caught often are handed over to the High Inquisitors of Takhisis's Priesthood, and many such soldiers are never heard from again. *In an almost illegible scrawl the line 'so don't get caught!' has been added*. Those individuals or groups who do attack a soldier of the dragonarmies are, however, free game. Once reported, the collective armies may hunt this person or persons down until slain. The dragonarmies will brook no interference from outsiders in reaching their goals.
