Rome, Italy
Italy is one of the member countries of the European Union. It is also a good example that all EU Countries are not created equal. I would not place Italy near the top of the most developed country list. Italy has a far way to go in terms of modernization and adoption of technology. Also the second largest party in Italy is the Communist party. It was not uncommon to see heavily armed police and military around Rome.
Rome was a beautiful place. I was lucky enough to have my friend Kiva Maria along with me. Over the week that we were there we walked through the entire city. We visited all the sights around Rome and the Vatican. There was something to see on every street. On the way to visiting a certain place listed in a tour book, we would run across 4-5 places that were not. However, by the end of the week, everything started to seem normal.
