Pictures from the Galveston Bay
I spent three months as a deck onboard the Galveston Bay, including Christmas and New Years. The ports of call were Felixstowe England, Lahavre France, Rotterdam The Netherlands, Bremerhaven Germany, New York, Baltimore, Norfolk, Charleston, Jacksonville, and Houston.

Christmas, 1992, in the Officer's Lounge.
Somewhere in the North Atlantic.

Fog making it impossible to see the bow of the ship let alone the channel out of Felixstowe Harbor.

From the bow looking back to the "house" and the bridge. Note the boats.

That's me waiting for the Chief Mate in his office.
We were heading out to read the temperature on 250+ refridgerated containers.
Some containing "Frozen brains" bound for France. Yummy!

Hanging off the side of the ship doing a little maintenance.

Sometimes things get dropped. In this case it was a container full of glass.
