The first HMU which became operational for EUR RVSM is the one sited at Linz in Austria, online since 25 May 2000. This has also marked the start of the monitoring programme.

Linz HMU in Austria [centre 48°12’N, 014°18’E].
Linz coverage area currently 30NM around centre co-ordinate.

 

Geneva HMU in Switzerland and France [centre 46°22'N, 005°56'E].
Geneva coverage area currently 25NM around centre co-ordinate.

 

Nattenheim HMU in Germany and Luxembourg [centre 49°57'N, 006°28'E].
Nattenheim coverage area currently 45NM around centre co-ordinate.

Given the regular changes in ATS route alignment, it is not considered appropriate to present here any specific information on route segments which are within HMU coverage. However, up-to-date information on the routes and HMU coverage can be obtained from the User Support Cell.
