Characters
The hero of the film, Spirit is a wild mustang stallion, who finds himself captured by humans and sold to the cavarly.
The fim follows his attempts to regain his freedom, and return to his herd. Along the way he finds love in the shape of Rain, a paint mare,
and becomes friends with a young Lakota called Little Creek.
Rain
The love interest, Rain is Little Creek's loyal paint mare. She teaches Spirit about her home, the Lakato village, and that not all humans
are bad. She is brave yet kind hearted, and finds herself torn between her love for Spirit, and her loyalty to Little Creek.
Little Creek (Voiced by Daniel Studi)
Like Spirit, Little Creek is captured by the cavarly. Together, they make a daring escape. A wild, yet compassionate young man, Little Creek
takes Spirit back to his village, where they begin to build a strong friendship.
The Colonel (Voiced by James Cromwell)
The villian of the movie, the Colonel is a stern and strong-willed man. Determined to break Spirit, he becomes his most dangerous obstacle in his fight for
freedom.
Esperanza
A palimino mare, Esperanza is a kind, patient soul. She is Spirit's mother.
