| Access/cleanout hole cut in sole.
Looking aft. Plywood hatch cover provides access to the bilge under the engine. |

| About 1/2 inch of white mineral sediment on bottom
of tank covered most of lead.
Pipe in upper left hand corner is water pick-up tube. Reinforcements were glassed on the side of the hull in addition to several extra layers of woven roving. Lead shot was also in the reinforcing tubes and on top. I estimated the hull to be about 3/4" thick at this point (not counting the tubes.) |

| Same as above but cleaned.
Notice the cracks in the non reinforced resin. The bulkhead aft of the pickup tube separates the water tank from the bilge. |

| Same as above but looking forward.
Some lead shot is still visible on bottom. |

| Looking forward.
Some kind of cream colored cover was applied over the laminating resin. Bulkhead shown in picture above is visible at the aft end of this tapered run. Upper end of run is where the aluminum brace is installed between the keel and the sole. |
