Top to bottom, L-R:   Two 3/8" sections of Delrin to make up for what I cut off the mast;  One 1/2" section of 6061-T6 aluminum plate;  One section Delren to separate the SS plate from aluminum.

New Step Assembled

     To prevent the aluminum and SS from coming in contact with the insert or the mast and causing a corrosive condition, I placed a section of 1/8" thick Delrin between the insert and mast plate.

     Both the mast plate and the deck plate of the new step are now ready to install.
