In October,2007 students at Columbus High School, in Columbus, Texas, brought a live raccoon to their Wildlife Management class. They received permission from adult authorities to kill it.
They then processed it, cooked it, and ate it.
Such an atrocity cannot be permitted to happen again. There is going to be a march in Columbus on February 2, 2007. We are going to protest the fact that neither the students, nor adults at the school, were prosecuted in any way by the District Attorney or the Parks and Wildlife Department.
A Wildlife Management class, should not teach children to harm or destroy animals.
