| Porterville, California is 170 miles north of Los Angeles. In 1965 the Porterville Rotary Club gave the city a 15ft. wooden Christian cross. The city fathers erected it permanently in Murry Park. Murry Park is a community park, with the community pool a playground, and picnic area. In addition the Porterville Area Ministerial Association has put on Easter Sunrise Services every year. I used to live in Porterville, and I once filed a lawsuit against the city, for violating the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution.. |
