Prevent Octopus Abuse
A tragic tradition which began
in 1952, and continues to this
day, must be stopped.

Detroit Red Wings Hockey fans have spent 56 years tossing octopus bodies on the ice, before and during hockey games. Then the body is picked up and twirled around in the air, like it is a toy.  This for fans entertainment.

This is a sick tradition, which shows extreme disrespect to the animal kingdom in general, and the octopus specifically.

I call on all animal lovers to
join together, and contact the
Detroit Red Wings, and tell
them that this horrible
activity be ended for good.

The octopus is an intelligent
creature, living a life of its
own in the sea.  Fishing
vessels catch them for human
consumption ONLY, NOT for
playthings.
