As the great plane soared over Canada all was quiet in the baggage hold
except for the sneezing of a Parrot who had unfortunately caught a
cold,
"Achoo! Achoo! Do bless my soul,So little mouse do you have a name?"
"I am Libby, a Scottish moose, and your cold really is an awful shame."
The parrot coughed and said to Libby,"You aren't a moose,you are a
mouse"
"A moose lives around the Pine forests and you should live in a house",
"But see for yourself and best of luck as you travel far into the wood"
poor Libby wasn't feeling so brave and wondered if she really should.
A long moaning sound made Libby shake so she clambered quickly up a
tree
to escape from the noise that scared her and which she could not see,
Far below she saw a massive beast with antlers that stretched so wide
and a woman hunter with a gun who was aiming at this strange beast's
hide.
Little Libby squeaked in horror and suddenly overbalanced into the air
which made her come tumbling down to land in the woman shooters hair,
The woman screamed as Libby bit her on the nose as she tried to run
away
and that beast roared with laughter because that really made his day.
Just then another mouse appeared clapping her hands in great delight
she was dressed in a cute little yellow top with butterflies in flight,
Her name was Charley Marianna who lived in a barn far out of the way
so if Libby came to live in Texas they could have fun and play all day.
The Moose kissed Libby on the cheek which made Charley Marianna smile
"Go live with your new found friend in Texas and be happy all the
while",
"For though we may have moose traps in Canada which you can see with
ease
to catch a Scottish moose the size of me would need a lot of cheese".
So as the Canadian Moose and the Scottish mouse waved each other
goodbye
a bond was made between gods creatures with a happy tear in every eye,
That lasting sight of little Libby and her friend walking hand in hand
was a lesson that friends are very special in our sometimes lonely
land.
