Shane The Bear

Written by Freddie Mac. April 2nd 2001.

The Bear awakes it's nearly noon
he grunts then stretches high,
I'm hungry and I need to eat
a horse my Mum should fry.

Hey Mum! what can I have to eat?
for I'm a growing Laddie,
Sausages bacon and four eggs
six slice of toast I need badly.

Oh that was good it filled a hole
untill you make my lunch,
What's in the fridge that I could chew?
a wee nibbly that I can munch.

Dear Shane when will you make your bed
and pick your clothes up off the floor,
Oh come on Mum! I work all night
slaving down at the video store.

My dear wee Bear, my pride and joy
your Mum does wash, clean and cook,
I'm on the go from dawn till late
Oh Mum! you are such a sook.

A soldiers life I'm going to have
it will make a man out of me,
So Mum I love you but please can I have
steak eggs beans and chips for my tea?.

This poem was written for Susan and Shane
two people that I've never met,
They probably argue like two cats and dogs
but they still love each other yet.

Sue sits there smiling to her self
as Shane gets up and gives her a wave,
What you cooking me for breakfast Mum?
goodnight! I'm off back to my cave.
