How2... Show song history on your web page

Whats this???

There are plenty of cool looking Now playing features for broadcasters to put up track info on their websites but its all in codes you need to be a brainiak to decypher or need ftp access or some other scary sh1t like that in order to achieve this.
If like me your adverse to that kind of stuff, then this is for you.

How do we do this???

If you SHOUTcast you already have the Song History/Status/Play/URL page and you can take that page and put it in an iFreame and place it on your web page and your visitors will see your recent song history plus your present track.

OMG! Whats an iFrame???

iFrames are windows you can paste into webpages that show information from a page elswhere on the web.

Hmmmm! How do we use that???

All you need (apart from a web page to put it on) is some code (Dont be scared!) and the address of the page you want to put in the iFrame. The Page address for this will be
http:/[YOUR IP] : [PORT]/played.html
this is basicly your server address. the server generates the page.

If you dont know your IP Address
Here it is...

This is the code in an iFrame

see thats not too scary is it?

Here it is in ins full glory and look its quite tame out in the open.

<iframe src="http:/[YOUR IP] : [PORT]/played.html" width="600" height="430" frameborder="0" scrollbar="0"></iframe>

Copy & Paste the GREEN text into the body of your web page and set your address in it and your all set.
As long as your server is online and tour station streaming your iFrame will show tour info on your web page.

Is that it???

Quite simply YES
You should get something like this on your webpage when youve finished.
