I had only thought it was just a little strange when Jessie, Meowth, and I wound up on this little desolated island. Not one of us had any clue as to how we got here, but my partners didnt think it was very important.
"Its not like this is our first time!" Meowth said. "We always wind up somewhere in da middle of no where!" he giggled.
I knew he was being sarcastic. We did sometimes get blasted off to no-mans-land, but we had always known how we gotten there. This time it was different. I didnt remember Pikachu, or anything for that fact, blasting us away. I was still pondering over our weird situation when Jessie spoke up.
"Hey guys!" she said excitedly. "Who cares how we got here. Were just here. Lets have a vacation and put our time to good use!"
"Yes!" I exclaimed. "Lets go!" I bounced up and ran after Jessie. As I was running, I thought, Why the heck is Jessie so spunky all of a sudden? She usually is so umm... unhappy. That would be the easiest way for me to describe Jessie. Her personality is so complicated to everyone. Most people just judge her right off the bat. They say, "Shes so violent! How do you put up with her all the time?" I get questions like those sometimes. When fellow rockets ask, I just simply tell them, "Her real beauty is hidden in the inside." I let them think about that, and walk away.
Sometimes I do wonder why I do put up with her flames. I guess its cause shes my best friend, and I dont think theres anyone else I have. Shes my only real family. Even if she does smack me on the head a couple of times a week, I would never part from her.
I suppose she is the way she is, because of her childhood. Her mother was a great Rocket member and she raised her daughter in a typical rocket life. Im sure she loved Jessie a lot, but was raising her in a strict manner. Whats more is that her mother died when she was about six which probably left her traumatized at a very young age. I can understand her hatred of life sometimes.
Some people think she is always like that. I for one know its not true. I do pay attention to her, and she does occasionally show her sensitivity. Like I said, her true beauty is hidden in the inside. Thats why I hate it when people just take one look at her, and make false accusations. They say shes either too violent, loud, or self centered. Those were only some of the things Ive heard. Unlike them, I actually took the time to look deeper inside her. I noticed some things about her that even she probably doesnt know. I know that despite her tenacious exterior, theres a little girl wanting to be carefree.
She rarely exhibits her inner self but I have seen her happy. I know one time she was truly happy, was when I decided to come back to her after running away from home the fourth time. And I mean truly happy not the evil kind of happy. I could sense she wanted to tell me something more than she didnt care if we didnt get rich that time. Perhaps that she was glad I didnt leave her. I sure was. I think her pride got in the way that time as well. Im sure she was thinking that though.
After a couple minutes of chasing Jessie, I stopped and threw off my boots. It was unusually hot for this season of fall. The warm sand spreading through my toes felt great! I started running again to catch up to Jessie. I had no clue as to why we were running, but it was fun! I had almost caught up to her when I stepped on something sharp. "Ouch!" I yelped. I had immediately stopped running, and plopped myself down on the ground.
"Are you ok James?" She asked out of breath when she saw me examining my foot. That was when a very unusual thing happened. My mind completely blanked out. Then I saw something. Jessie, Meowth, and I were standing on some sort of balcony. Jessie was staring blankly at a wall, with a scared look on her face. Kind of like she had seen something out of the ordinary. I had asked her if she was ok, and she told me she was.
Then it just ended. I was back to looking at the sand. "James!" Jessie yelled shaking me a little.
"Huh Wha?" I said, still thinking about what I just saw. I guessed it was a flashback of some sort. But I didnt get where it was from, or where it happened.
"James..." Jessie repeated with a raised eyebrow. "Are you out of your daze now?"
"Yeah, sure Jess." I answered, shrugging it off. I didnt give the flashback much more thought after that. "Hey!" I exclaimed. "Lets go for a swim. I bet the water is really nice!"
"Ok," she replied. "I think thats a good idea!" We both stripped down Anime style and dove into the water.
"I tink Im going to go take a catnap!" Meowth yelled from shore. We both knew he hated "wet water" a lot. Soon Jessie and I began to have fun in the water splashing each other. I did not remember the last time Jessie and I had so much fun. We were both constantly fighting over whose fault it was that we lost. I was getting sick of running after that brat and his Pikachu. We were infamous before they came along. After we met them, our luck kinda went down hill. This vacation was already impacting us somehow in a positive way. I really wanted us to stay like this forever, carefree and actually happy.
A couple of minutes into our splash fest, I began to have another flash back. This one was pretty short. Jessie, Meowth, and I were using Wheezing as a flotation devise in very dark and cold waters. I could almost feel it that time.
"James!" Jessie yelled. I could see she was trying to get my attention. "Thats the second time you completely zoned out on me! What is exactly going on in your head now?" She swam over to me and knocked on my head a couple of time.
"Maybe I swallowed too much water," I giggled, splashing her once more before I headed for land. I also tried to forget this one also, but it was harder this time. I couldnt get why I was seeing these things, and why Jessie didnt pursue my unusual behavior.
Nothing weird happened for the rest of the day. Jessie and I played like little kids under the sun for the rest of the day. Meowth and our Pokmon napped under big palm trees, and sometimes joined us. I didnt have any more flashback for the rest of the day, and I thought that was the end of them"
It was in the middle of the night, and I was having a very disturbing dream. Jessie and I were witnessing a bunch of duplicate Pokmon fighting each other. I mean there were Rapidash vs. Rapidash, Pikachu vs. Pikachu, and Vulpix vs. Vulpix just to name a few. This Pokmon fight wasnt at all normal. It was more like a rumble. The pokemon looked like they were fighting for their honor, and not for their trainers request. I knew pokemon battles werent supposed to be this way, and it was very depressing watching it.
Somewhere in that dream sequence, I turned around and saw who looked to be the gang leader He was enforcing the fighting. I took a good look at his face, and tried to read it. Mainly revenge, anger, and hatred. He didnt even look human. He almost looked like a pokemon. I didnt know who he was, but I was sure he played an important role in my flash backs, and what was going on.
I woke up in a cold sweat. I tried to piece together what I had just seen in my dream, and how it could have related to my flashbacks. This triggered a major headache. My partners were soundly sleeping next to me. They had no clue as to what was going on with me yet. I decided I wasnt going to keep this inside me any longer. I wanted to tell it to someone. I gently shook Jessie, trying to wake her. "Jess wake up," I said quietly. "I really need to talk to you."
"James..." she mumbled. "Whadaya want? I know what I want... my beauty sleep." She pulled her pillow over her head.
"Jessie," I said more urgently. "I really need to talk to you."
"Ok ok!" she said. She got up in a sitting position. "James," she said rummaging through her stuff. "Its precisely 2:14 in the morning! What do you want?" Right then, I was really happy we were on this island. I bet that if we were anywhere else, things would be different Jessie would probably yell at me for wrecking her beauty sleep and try to smack me. "Jessie..." I began. "Some unusual things have happened to me when we got on this island."
"Like what?" she asked, still trying to rub the sleep from her eyes. I could tell she was not happy with waking up in the middle of the night and listening to me, but I was glad she was. I really needed someone to talk to...
"Well..." I finally said. "You know when you thought I was in a daze twice today."
"Yeah..." she replied.
"Truth is..." I continued, "Ive been having these flashbacks..."
"Flashbacks? Of what," she asked. "What are you getting at?"
"Ive been having flashbacks of us at this island, I think. I dont know when, but this island looked different." I paused. "I just had this dream. There was this really strong and evil...creature He had these duplicate killer pokemon and tried to send them out against their good counterparts. I looked at Jessie, and she had this blank look on her face, I decided to ignore her, and continue telling her about my dream.
"What I think happened is that he somehow lost, and is now trying to restore his killer team and take over the world. I know this kind of sounds a little farfetched but..."
"James!" she interrupted. She put her hand on my head. "Look, I really think you have swallowed too much seawater. Go back to sleep." She lay back down.
I dont know what annoyed me more. The fact that my best friend didnt believe me, or the fact that I sounded completely in the deep end. "Jessie," I started. "Just listen to me for once! Please." Jessie sighed, but got up again. I continued, "Things have been strange when we got here. What was the last thing you remember before we got here?" I questioned.
She sighed again, but answered my question. "Stopping that big pokemon from going back to where it was going. But I dont see how..."
"Same here," I interrupted. "Dont you think that was just a little strange? We were trying to stop that pokemon, and all of a sudden we were here!"
"Well, it could have been psychic, and transported us here because it didnt want us in its way!" she exclaimed.
"And erased all our memories at the same time?" I asked. "I doubt it, but try and explain this. That same day, I remember being Tuesday right?"
"Yeah, so," she said.
"Its Friday now." I stated simply showing her my watch. "Yesterday, or rather a couple of hours ago, was Thursday. How did we wind up from Tuesday to Thursday just like that? Something happened on Wednesday," I deducted. I didnt give her a chance to answer that question because I knew I wouldnt like her answer anyway. "We got our memories erased!" I exclaimed, "I cant explain it otherwise. Wednesday couldnt have just disappeared! That alien did it!"
"Youve really gone over the deep end now James," was all she said. I realized then that Jessie didnt want to listen to me. She thought I was a raving, paranoid lunatic.
I stood up. "Fine," I yelled, "dont listen to me!" Jessie had never seen me this mad before. No one really had. I seldom got really angry at anything. I was always, either really hyper, or happy. Sometimes I tried to be evil, like I was supposed to be, but I never really thought it was... the real me. I did get annoyed quite often at various things, but never really mad.
"You may think Im going crazy," I continued "but you have to face reality. I know something unexplainable happened here on Wednesday and I dont care if you believe me or not!" I lied. I really did care if Jessie believed me, truth is, I was miserable she didnt.
"Well, James!" she said, raising her voice. "Maybe I would believe you if you didnt sound so ridiculous!" she fought back.
"How..." I started, but stopped. I didnt know why, but the last thing I wanted to do was fight with her. It was then I was pulled into another flashback. It seemed to be taking place at the same time my dream was going on. In this flashback, Jessie and I were talking about the Pokmon fighting. We thought it was horrible, and related the rumble to our own minor squabbles. We promised to never fight again. That was the one that really got to me.
I snapped back out of that one, and plopped myself down on the ground once again. I looked at Jessie and saw genuine concern in her eyes. "James," she started. I was on the verge of tears. I didnt know what to think of my last flashback either, but one thing I did know was that I didnt want to fight.
Jessie took my hand. "Are you ok? Was it... another flashback?" she asked.
It then came to me, that Jessie really wanted to believe me. She just was afraid that I could be right. I was afraid myself. This was just too much for me to handle. Jessie actually caring, the events on this island, and my flashbacks were making me... emotionally torn. I couldnt hold it back any longer, and just burst into tears.
Jessie was probably scared at that point. I didnt think she knew what to do about my sudden outburst. Although she probably had never been in that kind of predicament before, she did the best thing for me. She just simply wrapped her arms around me, and held me. I just cried and cried for a couple of minutes in her arms. After I let all my suppressed tears out, and just sat there, I felt better in someway.
"Im sorry this is happening to you, James," she had finally said. "But I just want you to know that I believe you."
"Thanks Jessie," I said looking up at her. "Thats all I wanted to hear."
"I believe you too James," said a voice to my right. I turned around, and there was Meowth standing next to me. He looked a little sleepy, but I could tell hed been up for a while. "As ridiculous as it sounds, I know youre serious. At least this time." He smiled.
"Thanks Meowth." I rubbed his little gold charm. "I think Im going to need all the luck I can get." I paused and looked at the two of them. "Were in this together right?" I put my hand out. Jessie put hers on top of mine, followed by Meowths paw. I smiled.
"Ok. Lets go to sleep now," Jessie suggested. "We need it."
So thats precisely what we did. As I was drifting of to sleep, I knew whatever challenges awaited us the next day, I knew could count on my friends to help me through them. It was the first time I ever felt that way, and I was finally undisturbed. I had no more nightmares that night.
We knew we were very important for the welfare of the whole world. I really thought we were the only ones who knew about the killer being. Later on Saturday, we knew we had to leave our island. We were both unhappy about it, but also understood we had a job to do.
I called Giovanni with my cell phone. He was not very happy hearing from us, but its not like he ever is anyway. "What do you three blundering idiots want from me this time this time?" he snapped. I could tell he was not in such a good mood.
"Well...Were kinda lost again," I replied meekly
"Lost?" he repeated. "You think I care? Just get un-lost!" he yelled.
"Thats not really possible, boss," I said. "Were kinda trapped on an island." I was wondering why Jessie made me do all the talking. Giovanni finally gave in and decided to send a helicopter after us. I gave him our approximate location based on my flashback. The helicopter came in a couple of hours. I looked at my partners and they seemed as unhappy as me. We got in the helicopter with Tyreke, one of our more notorious members. We were silent the whole time. I looked out the window and saw our island get smaller, and smaller till it escaped my vision.
After an hour in the helicopter, we reached the headquarters. Jessie was in a bad mood. Her usual self you can say. She was complaining on how she needed more lipstick at the moment. I decided to ignore her, for it was about 12:00 and we were all exhausted. As soon as we got in our apartment, I collapsed on my bed. I only bothered to take my shoes off, and then drift of to sleep.
That night I had another disturbing dream. It was about the mysterious creature again. This time he said his name. It was Mewtwo. He knew how to speak and said he was the most powerful pokemon on earth, far superior to all humans and pokemon alike. He also said that he and his pokemon clones would exterminate all life on this sorry planet.
I woke up in a cold sweat again. "S***!" I cursed. "Does this have to happen to me every night?" My suspicions were correct. It struck me as being very unusual that Mewtwo was a pokemon. He looked more like an alien to me. I looked at my sleeping partner. I didnt want to bother her, but I knew I wouldnt go to sleep without talking to her first. I shook her "Jess, wake up," I said. She turned around and slowly opened one eye.
"What is it this time James?" she mumbled.
"I had another bad dream," I answered quietly. Jessie then proceeded to throw her pillow at me. Not with much force, since she was half asleep. I just sat cross-legged and hugged her pillow. I guess she felt sorry for me then, because she actually sat up and decided to listen to me for the second time. I knew she wasnt happy to talk to me, but she did anyway. I smiled.
"What was your dream about this time?" she asked.
It was the creature again," I answered. "He was saying things like he was going to exterminate all life on earth. He was really horrible," I said quietly. I looked at Jessie to see her reaction to this. I guess she was a little taken back by that as well. "Oh yeah! And his name is Mewtwo. Hes actually a pokemon!"
"Mewtwo?" Jessie repeated. "Where have I heard that name?" She was in deep thought.
"I know where she heard of him," Meowth said.
"Meowth?" we said in unison. "Sorry for waking you up," I told him.
"Dats ok James," he replied. "Anyway, I head that name too. From da boss!"
"Oh yeah!" Jessie exclaimed. "Remember, James? When we were about to quit, and the eastern headquarters blew up? That thing flying up into the sky..."
"Was Mewtwo," I finished. "The boss did mention him before we battled that brat at our gym."
"Yeah!" Meowth added. "The secret creation!"
"I remember now," Jessie started. "There was talk going on about a science lab...on a far distant island!"
"You think," I continued, "that island we were on..."
"Yes! Dat was where Mewtwo was created!" Meowth finished. "Question is, how did he wind up with da boss, and what happened after that?" All three of us contemplated that question for a while.
"Well, Im sure some Rockets must know something about Mewtwo, since he was with the boss for a while," Jessie deducted.
"The problem is, how were going to worm it out of them..." I replied.
"Yeah," Meowth joined in. "Im sure dere not gunna want to spill the beans."
"Dont worry. Well find something they want," she assured. "For now, lets get some sleep. Im too tired to think clearly now." She yawned.
"Good idea, Jess." Meowth replied, and headed back to his cat box. I wasnt so anxious to go back to sleep. I would have been any other day since I loved to sleep, but I was too afraid today.
"Whats wrong James?" Jessie asked when she saw I wasnt lying back down.
"Im..." I hesitated. "Scared."
"Scared?" Jessie repeated. "Of what?"
"I dont wan to have another nightmare," I mumbled and looked at my bed covers.
"James, all I really think you need now is a teddy bear." Jessie giggled.
"A teddy bear?" I repeated. "I dont need a teddy bear!" I said turning pink. But, I knew she was right. I did want some sort of comfort object. When I was about nine years old, my parents thought I was too juvenile for stuffed animals, and gave them all away to charity. I was so sad after that, for along with that, they threw my favorite teddy bear away as well. I usually snuck Growly in to sleep with me when I was scared. I actually wanted a teddy bear now, at 17.
"Hey I know what will help!" Jessie exclaimed. She got up and went over to Meowth.
"You want James to..." he started understanding Jessies intentions. He had been trying to listen to our conversation.
"Yeah," Jessie answered, not letting him finish. She picked him up, brought him to my bed, and sat him at the end of it. "There, now you have a teddy cat!" She giggled as she went back to her bed.
"Just dont squeeze me too hard James." Meowth said, lying down.
"I wont," I replied. "You make a nice teddy cat." I was stroking his fur. It was really weird, all the 3 years Ive known him, I had never really petted him or realized how soft and even huggable the cat was. I looked at Jessie before I drifted off. I smiled at her, as a small token of gratitude, and she smiled back.
The next morning we decided on how we were going to get the out of the senior Rockets. We were sure some of them had the answers we were looking for, because the majority of them stayed at the headquarters and advised the boss. We also knew a lot of them "hung out" at our bar at midnight. As a result of that, a lot of them got drunk often. We decided to use this fact to our advantage. At midnight of that day, we went to the bar, and looked around for our victim. We knew when people were drunk, it was extremely easy to get information out of them.
I spotted a senior who looked to be intoxicated from one too many vodka glasses. He was alone, and laughing his head off. Hes going to have a lot of fun with his hangover tomorrow, I thought. "Hey Jess," I whispered, "you want to go for that one first?" I nodded towards the drunken senior.
"Yeah," she replied. She wrinkled her nose as she got closer to him. I could tell she was just as fond of his putrid smell as I was.
I approached him. "Hey," I said nervously.
"Whatdaya want?" he asked in a slurred voice.
"Well... I wanted to know if you knew anything about a pokemon named Mewtwo?" I said quickly.
"Mewtwo? Oh yeah! Hahahahahahaha!!!!!" he laughed. "hat son of a b**** was the boss strongest pokemon."
"Uh huh," Jessie, Meowth and I said, knowing we were getting somewhere.
"But I dont see what was so great about him!" he continued. "I could have kicked that dumb things a** clear to Timbuktu! Ahahahahahaha!" He fell off his chair in a laughing fit.
He was now beginning to attract attention, which was the last thing we wanted. "Heheheheheh," we were nervously laughing and began to slowly walk away from the drunk senior. We were almost to the door, when we were blocked by Tyreke. "See me out now," Tyreke demanded in his low voice. We did what we were told, for no one had he guts to stand up to Tyreke. Not even Jessie
"What were you three idiots thinking?" he bellowed, when the four of us were in a secluded area. I just gulped. "You know talking about the Mewtwo incident is highly forbidden. If word gets out to the boss, hell have Dannys a**."
"We didnt even know there was such a thing as the Mewtwo incident," Jessie spoke up.
"Dats right," Meowth added.
"We just really need to know about Mewtwo," I said
Tyreke stared the three of us down. "Why?" he finally asked.
"Its a long story," I said quickly. "But, its essential for the future of our world for us to know this!"
Tyreke snickered. "I dont know if youre really curious or what, but you seem harmless. I will tell you what I do know about Mewtwo." He paused before continuing. "I first heard of him a couple of months ago when Giovanni found out about a secret lab on an island. The scientists from there were almost finished with their ultimate creation. A genetically created pokemon named Mewtwo. Apparently when Mewtwo awoke, he was not very happy with something. Mewtwo completely destroyed the lab, and took 21 lives along with that, all were the scientists who created him. Somehow the boss found Mewtwo shortly after his rampage, and received his trust. He was brought to the Eastern headquarters to be tested. That thing was not something to be messed with, Ill tell you that. I saw him in battle. He could beat any pokemon. Any number..."
He paused then continued his story. "I dont know what happened to Mewtwo. I think Giovanni betrayed his trust. Mewtwo completely destroyed the Eastern headquarters, almost killing the boss in the process. No one knows where he is now, or what he is doing."
All four of us were completely silent after Tyreke finished. His speech left a lot of our questions answered, and we were trying to contemplate the answers. "Thank you," I finally said.
"Our conversation will not be spoken of," Tyreke said. "Is that understood?"
"Yes," we said in unison. Tyreke gave us one last look and went back into the bar.
When we got back into our room, I announced to my partners what I knew we had to do.
"Go back to the island?" Jessie repeated after me. "Why?"
"We have to Jess!" I pleaded "I think we all will think more clearly if we were to be there. That island was the location of the event. Also, I havent had any flashbacks since we got of the island, only my dreams. I dont really want to experience the flashbacks anymore, but I know they play an essential role in my quest."
I let Jessie and Meowth think all that through for a couple of seconds, then continued. "Besides... I dont really know how to explain this, but for some reason, that island is special. I know when I was there, I felt peaceful, and content inside. Well, at least when I wasnt experiencing the flashbacks. It was like there wasnt a thing in the world that could make me unhappy..."
"I know," Jessie said. "I felt the same way. Its really weird actually. How come we all felt like that after all the horrific things that occurred at the island?"
"I dont know Jess," Meowth answered for her, "but what I do know is that we need to go back. Lets go save the world!"
We soon went to sleep. I thought I was going to get another bad dream about Mewtwo, but I didnt.
A couple of days passed by and we were finally back to the island. Jessie Meowth and I were sitting down on the sand, cherishing the warm suns rays upon our bodies. I had felt so good. It was really unexplainable. Im sure my partners felt the same way though. I leaned up against Jessies back and closed my eyes.
A few minutes passed, and I began to get an eerie feeling. I opened one eye and saw a big blue mist on the horizon. A smaller pink one began to form as well. I nudged Jessie. "Oh my gosh Jess, look at that." All three of us stood up as the mists began to come closer and take shape. We watched them form in awe.
The mists took their final forms. I couldnt believe my eyes. The blue one turned out to be Mewtwo! He was just as I had remembered him in my dreams. He was a human figure with purple and white markings, purple eyes and a proud figure. I couldnt tell what the second smaller figure was though. It looked like another pokemon. I could tell it was female though. She was a very light pink, almost white, with blue eyes, and a cat-like face. She looked a little like a smaller version of Mewtwo, but a lot less intimidating.
I was scared out of my mind. I knew Mewtwo had the power to kill all of us if he wanted to. Jessie and I clung on to each other like we had so many times in the past. Mewtwo began to speak to us. The only thing was, he didnt move his mouth. I could hear what he said though, and Im sure Jessie and Meowth did too. I assumed he was talking to us telepathically.
"James, Jessie, and Meowth," he said. "You have figured out almost completely what happened at this island..."
"Yes!" I cut in. "I know what you are planning to do, and you will fail! Even if you kill us now, you will be stopped! We wont let you take over the earth! Its too precious to us!"
"I said almost completely," he continued. "You have only witnessed the bad events, and havent seen the end of the dilemma. I will show you all of what happened." Mewtwo approached me. At first I backed away, but I took one look at his eyes, and saw compassion. It was unlike the pure hatred I saw in his purple eyes before. I let him come to me, and he touched my head. With that simple gesture something extraordinary happened. My memories came flooding back into my head. I saw it all once again in a flash. I understood that I had been right for the most part, but jumped to conclusions at the end. Mewtwo had gone to learn about the meaning of life with his clones. I understood he no longer wanted to destroy the world.
The second little creature (which I now recognized as Mew) was approaching Jessie. She was scared like me at first, but I assured her of the Mews intentions, and she let her proceed. The small Mew floated over to Jessie, and put its small paws on Jessies head like Mewtwo did to me. I could tell when Mew was finished, Jessie was astounded as well. The same thing happened to Meowth. I felt pretty dumb, leading them on like that.
"Im sorry," I told them. But they didnt seem to care about my mistakes. I think they were just happy to get their memories back. "Thank you for giving our memories back," I told Mewtwo. "But theres one thing I dont understand."
"Whats that?" Mewtwo asked.
"How come I was the only one who remembered all that?" I asked.
"That, James, I dont know. One can only guess. It could be that you were on this island for a certain period of time, and it triggered memories. Also it could be that even though you were only a mild spectator of what happened, it somehow impacted you the most."
"I must go now," he said after a moment of silence. "Nobody other than you three, and my pokemon know what happened on this island. I would like to keep it that way."
We agreed to keep it to ourselves and waved to the mystical Mews as they escaped our vision. "Wow," we all said after they left. "I guess we wont be saving the world after all," I said with half a smile.
"Thats ok," Jessie replied. "Saving the world would have been too hard anyway. That whole experience was well worth it! We know some very valuable things others will never find out about!"
I smiled, "I guess youre right Jess. Im just glad thats all done." Jessie was looking at me in a funny way, like she didnt know what to say. I knew was thinking about our vow never to fight with each other that day. "So James," she finally said, "we promised never to fight with each other that day, eh?"
"Yeah," I replied. We stood in an uncomfortable silence for a couple of seconds. "Jess..." I finally said mustering the courage to speak.
"Yeah?" she replied, expecting me to talk.
"Umm, I know promising never to fight again seems kinda hard to do, but Im willing to drastically reduce it if you are. I just want us to be like we were for the past couple of weeks." I looked up at her.
"Yeah James, me too," she answered. "I liked our relationship better for the past few days also. For all three of us," she said, not wanting to exclude Meowth.
"Its a deal then," I said, putting out my hand. Jessie and Meowth took it. "I think Im getting a flashback," I giggled, referring to when we promised we were going to stick together in out situation. Jessie and Meowth smiled at me too. I wrapped them both into a hug and we stayed like that for a while, looking at the sun set on our magical island.
