Some Affiliate program will pay you multilevel up to 15 levels deep and some is 1 level plan. The more level you go is the lower initial income you get when orders are received. This is because the commission had been split to many levels, each level take few percentage. But you can get earning from the effort of your members. The question is, "How long do you need to fill up all the 5, 10 or 15 levels before you can withdraw the check?"

Single level sometimes is good, as usual you will receive more commission by referring people to that program. But your earning are strictly from your own effort not from other member. Once you stop, your Income also stop.
