This subsection takes its name from the attempt by Filipino Biblical Exegetes (i.e. those who have received specialized training in biblical interpretation) to present both the Old Testament and New Testament backgrounds to the Sunday Gospel.
The OT exegete begins the process. Once he/she has finished determining the OT background, he/she "passes" the "biblical ball" to the New Testament Scholar who, in turn "dribbles the ball" into the New Testament court, so to speak.
Hence,
baybol dribol.
This subsection then seeks to enable our readers to reach the goal of understanding the Sunday readings and apply the insights to their lives.
