PETE WHITE Thor (1999). Woodcut. |
This is the first of my prints that I did based on Norse Mythology. Viking legends have been an interest of mine since I was a kid, and I wanted to do a print of my favorite Norse god, Thor. I was experimenting with what I call "poor use of space" in this print - basically putting the image on the paper in a non-central, unusual manner.
This is printed with Daniel Smith oil-based ink on paper. It was carved on a left-over scrap of wood.
This is an edition of 10. There are prints available.
