Letters to the director. Diario Jaén. Photography as an art

FROM JAÉN. That or those who haven't visited Pedro Aceituno's photographic exhibition still have time to enjoy and see such a wonderful exhibition, which has so rightly been installed by the Caja General de Ahorros de Granada in its exhibition hall at the Paseo de la Estación. Without being a full expert in the art of photography, Aceituno's photos come to the eyes of any person expert or not in the subject as a visual joy, to such an extent that his characters, if you stop and watch the lights and shadows coordination, that the characters photographed are the ones who look at those who are looking, and the objects, details, the space and the environment are grasped by Pedro Aceituno's camera, as it was a science fiction film and it took you to the inside of the photograph. Once the outstanding photographs by Pedro Aceituno are finished, my childhood memories transport me to the time of the old photographers, who formerly left their good doing with different means. I'm sure that if those photography masters or photographers with cameras on tripods who settled down at the Plaza del Pósito to do their work saw Pedro Aceituno's work they would be astonished on seeing in his art, techniques, good taste and style at the moment of capturing the images of "photos" or "portraits", as they called their works, to such an extent that, like the one who writes these lines, we would recommend all together to the Royal Household that Pedro Aceituno were the one who carried out the report of the Prince Felipe and Mrs Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano, but otherwise Pedro Aceituno's works in the course of time will definitely be recognized and admired as one of the best photographers in the history of photography.
