In all quantum treatments we are able to perform in gravitational systems, the glorious statures of Schrödinger and Heisenberg are present through their decisive contributions. In gravity, furthermore, another giant of physics comes to rescue: Boltzmann. It is well-known that the quantum theory of systems showing a horizon leads to a unification of many (statistical?) thermodynamical concepts with the geometric notions that characterize gravity. |
