In 1970, after earning a BS in Electrical Engineering, I moved to New York where I briefly studied photography at New York University. Since those early years of random shooting I have had the good fortune to get my work exhibited in a great many group and one-person shows around the country, as well as my writings published in national photography magazines. I am currently on the faculty at the Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven.
I often want my photographs to reflect a slight sense of the surreal, to evoke a bit of the mystery that lay behind quite ordinary subjects. I utilize many techniques to achieve that mystery, from straight black and white printing to hand tinting to image transfers and finally digital output. |
