| You may apply information and skills you've learned in CLASS by serving students as a Lab Assistant for New and Needy Students. You will-- |
| --Help students with labs & classwork --Help Steve with paperwork and lab-related tasks. --Make sure the room is in order after students leave. |
| To receive 1/2 credit, you will-- 1. Complete 2 Current Science activities--average for LANS assignment grade. 2. Arrive for class on time. 3. Help students with labs and in-class assignments. Every 3-5 minutes, check with students to see if they need help. Assist with getting and returning equipment and clean-up. 4. Help Steve with school-related items. 5. Daily--summarize what you did with students; Steve to initial entry before you leave class. 6. Check workstations and floor after students have left the room. 7. Attach LANS Lab Assistant Log Sheet to this cover sheet. 8. Serve as LANS for 2-3 weeks * 5 days/week class=10x * 3 days/week=6x * 2 days/week class=4x. 9. You may serve as LANS ONE TIME during studies in Biology and ONE TIME during studies in Earth Science. 10. Meet with Steve to post credit. You may use BQRS points to raise grade.
