I don't really know much about science, but I am starting to really like it. I use to think science was borring but then I started to actually learn about it and it's alright.
Topics we're going to study are: Intro. to science, Geology of California, Heat, Temperature, and Energy, Structure of Matter, Waves and Wave Properties, Evaluation #1-Home of the Future.

INTRODUCTION TO SCIENCE--I have learned a few things so far while taking this class. For one thing I learned what Science is, and that there are more than just one part to science. Also, that there is alot that I don't know, but I thought I did.
Geology of California--In this unit of science I have got to learn about the natural resources such as water and oil and grains and others of the such. Also I have got to know of the nautral hazards, which include: floods, rock slides, faults, earth quakes, and sink holes. There are many more but those are the ones that I could come up with at the moment.
I also got to learn about well a little about the salt marshs and what kind of plants live there only three of them actually. The Pickleweed, Cordgrass, and the Gumplant. There are also small animals living there too, such as the salt marsh mouse which basiclly lives in the pickleweed area.
Then I learned alittle about the acorn woodpecker which lives near oak trees. I learned how he makes a hole in dead or dying trees to place acorns in them for him to save untill he needs them. Also, did you know that they would die out if we cut down all of the oak trees? I didn't. That is so far what I have learned about in this section of Global Science.
