Science is a good thing for us because we learn things that are just amazing. Like all of the projecst that we do. Their are just some things that sparks a person's interest. I think that science is cool because it's like you get to explore your posibilities. You have no boundaries when it comes to science. It is like a world that you can do what ever you want in it. it is not a bad subject at all.
This year we are going to study...storms, ecology, food, resources, shelter, disease and Flight.

Things I've learned--I have learned that science can be be a tool for solving all of your problems. Well maybe not all of them but it can open up new doors to what you can do. I have also learned that there is more to an experiment than just doing it. It's like a magnetic connection--like it draws you to it.
Shelter - Foundations & Materials. This credit period I learned that faults can break, spread, and seperate. Some foundations can sink or cause walls to twist upward. What kinds of soils do what and how they support foundations. How floods occur and were rivers, creeks, etc. get their water. What types of building materials to use when I am building my future dream house. How earthquakes occur and what kind of damage they can do.
Building a Stronger Material I learned from this experiment how certain kinds of materials help the foundation that you are building on. The stronger material that we used was paper clips. I have also learned that if so much pressure is forced on to the plaster of paris, then eventually it will break or be destroyed in some way. The last thing that i have learned is that no matter how strong of project you are building whether it be foundation, buildings, or just any simple project you can never be 100% safe from mother nature.
The Unverse-- I have learned how the sun is powered. Stars come in many different kinds shapes and form. Terrestrial planets are very different but similar to gas planets. Difference between clusters and galaxies. Overall information about the solar system. Facts and how it came to be.
Matter, Atoms & Periodic Table--In this credit period I learned that everything that we can touch is made up of matter. I learned all of the physical properties of atoms: How the protons neutrons and electrons are in the nucleus of the atom. How the atoms move if they are a liquid, gas, or solid. Another thing was the element bromine. i learned a lot about bromine: it's atomic number, how many neutrons and so on.
REVISED Introduction to Global Science--This section is still in process.
