![]() |
| Interactive notebooks will be used in this class daily to help you learn and remember important scientific concepts. Why do they work? This notebook style uses both the right and left brain hemispheres to help you sort, categorize and be creative with the knowledge you're gaining. Let's learn!!! Helpful supplies to use when creating your notebook:-- --An 8.5 x 11 inch spiral notebook. --Highlighter pens of different colors or colored pencils. --Pen and pencil with eraser. --Small scissors, glue and tape. Number all pages in the notebook--right side pages are odd; left side are even. |
| LEFT PAGE/EVEN NUMBERS=OUTPUT The left spiral pages show your understanding of information. You work with input from the right side but present it in your own way. Be creative on this side! --Brainstorming --Discovery headlines --Biography posters --Mind Mapping --Riddles --Your questions --Pictographs --Cartoon/doodles--science-related --Poetry & songs --Metaphors & analogies --Concept maps --Venn diagrams --Dialogues --Sketches --Flow chart timelines --Other "creatives" |
| RIGHT PAGE/ODD NUMBERS-INPUT The right pages are for writing down information you are given. When Steve lectures or you get input from books, videos or speakers. Use the right for... + Time, date, page numbers... + Thrilling lecture notes:-) + Procedural notes for labs + Vocabulary words + Notes from the textbook + Notes from film, video, or DVD + Lecture guides + Teacher questions + Guest speaker notes & questions + Other relevant input |
