Can't believe this was one of the last check-ups before the 'big event'...! Only one more week, and we're full term (medically you're full term 3 weeks before till two weeks after your expected date of delivery)!

The little one is still right on target, neither too big nor too small - forgot, though, to ask approximately how heavy it is now. Should be approaching the 2.7 kgs... hope it doesn't get too heavy...

My question of the day concerned the gender of the baby - although I'd seen several pretty obvious shots, a new uncertainty had begun making its way to the back of my head... So after the usual measurements etc. I asked if she could please do a quick double-check... Ok, I surrender, there's no doubt - no shyness there this time!

As for my due date, Fluppi asked if she thought we should expect it to come sooner, around the edd, or rather later. She smiled and said, well probably rather later... Oh, well, at least my maternity leave will then start later too and we'll have more time at the other end for our new apartment!

I'm now officially on sick leave/reduced working hours (50%) as I'm no longer able to sit so long, plus my exhaustion keeps me from concentrating on work anyway. Pregnancy is definitely taking its toll on my body now - can't walk far or sit long, turning around in bed is a concentrated effort, I basically want to get it over with soon...!

Here's a shot of baby's face - it's getting too big to get more in one shot:
