Last appointment before my due date... Only one more week to go, but already now I feel more than ready! This was also the last 'regular' appointment with measurements taken etc. And speaking of measurements... the baby is still developing according to plan (!), everything nice and average. The head is 10 cm wide by now and the baby's full weight, as measured according to the size of its belly (not mine...!), was 3.7 kg, although this way of measuring is highly unreliable, just an estimate. Everything looked fine and I still have plenty of amniotic fluid.
The best news of the appointment (of course besides from the fact that the baby's thriving) was that it is standard procedure to induce one week (and not two as is common in most places) after the expected date of delivery. This means that we have two more weeks to go at the most - phew!!
Well - of course we still hope that things will soon get started without any outside assistance...!
