WITH ANTHONY CIATTI 1/31/02

It's time! What? I said it's time for the much anticipated 20 Questions with Anthony Ciatti.

1.  By popular demand (Timmy Poopers),  you were requested to complete a 20 Questions interview.  You knew you would be asked the tough questions.  So let's get this out of the way.  Hey man, why you doggin me?

I ain't doggin you, man, chill out.  Your hanes might be on too tight.

2.  When were you first introduced to the team and what did you think?

I was surprised everyone was so amused by my Vanilla Killaz jersey.  I really liked playing and everyone was extremely gracious.  It was a great experience.  Kyle Gallan really scared me though.

3.  What past baseball experience do you have?

I was catcher for the Saint Sebastian grade school baseball team from 5th to 8th grades, I was captain of the JV in 6th grade and Captain of the Varsity (along with Ryan Malloy) in 8th grade.  I was a two-time intramural softball champ at Divine Child, we were the only non-senior team in school history to win my Junior year, and we repeated senior year.  I pitched for the "Brad Laesser (now MacDonald) All-Stars".  I also played in the DC Alumni League the past 3 years.  I was originally 3rd base before Casey convinced me to move to short.  I am really glad he talked me into it and had confidence in me.

4.  On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being whack and 10 being dope, rate the following players:

Mark McGwire=
6  He's a great player, but he became a sideshow late in his career.
Mark Chmura=
15,000  Outstanding player, and he likes high school girls.....how can you beat that?
Jose Rodriguez= 8  Not the best softball player, but he is a great person and a hell of a fan.
Mookie Wilson= 9  The name says it all.
Carl= 10  Classy guy, and a good friend.  He gets maximum respect.  I don't think he is infallible though
Jim Rome= 7  Beginning to be too politically correct.

5.  What Livonia men's league team should give it up and call it a day?

Carpet Works (or is it Carpet Munchers).  Those guys are a bunch of grade A faggots.  They blow at softball too.

6.  Do you enjoy Nads?

Yeah I had a great time when he was around.  One time we went snowboarding and he hated it.  I think Nads is a fun person and he has a terrific sense of humor.  He is a solid guy, very worthy of the Peatage uniform.

7.  Finish these sentences:

The best thing about our website is everything, its a great website all around.
I think the word Peetage really means "balls in your mouth"
They say I'm cocky and I say what?  It ain't braggin if you back it up.
One time when no one was looking I rubbed Nads' Nads
313 to me means the sweetest place in the world, big up yourself if you're gonna come into the 313.
If I had one wish I would wish for happiness to all.

8.  Tell us about a funny story from the mens Sibleys shoe store that you currently work at.

There are way too many to mention, but I'll give you one.  Its about 10% white at fairlane mall, and there is only one other white male at Sibley's, named James.  One day I came out of the back and on to the salesfloor, where I was greeted by a black man that claimed he had just sent me into the back to get him a pair of shoes.  I insisted that it wasn't me he was talking about, but he proceeded to get very irritated.  Just then James emerged from the back of the store with a box of shoes, and the guy said, "oh sorry man here he comes"  James is about 2 inches taller, and he has bright red hair, with a full beard.  I said "I am so sick of being the other white guy" and everyone in the store stopped and looked at me.  It was quite funny.

9.  What do you remember about the following years:

1981=  I was too young to remember anything (I hate it how everyone says "the light at the end of the tunnel", or "being born" nobody remembers anything that far back.)
1989=  My little brother was born
1995=  I started high school at Divine Child
1999=  I graduated and I began life at UM-D.  I also began my Peatage career.
2002=  Present day.  Its only 2 weeks old and there is plenty more excitement to come.

10.  Do you get a chubby when you find out the opponent for the evening was "Mustard" Horse?

Absolutely.  Thats what softball is all about.  When the day comes that I don't get hard when I hear the name "Mustard Horse", I'll know its time to retire from beer league softball.

11.  If you were stuck in an elevator and could have 2 teammates with you, who would they be and why?

Jason Buntine because he's a great friend, and probably Mattrock because he only cares about fun.

12.  Who is your favorite former Peetage player and why? (Ex: Lorne, Kyle,
Scott, Jason, Anthony, Craig, Jeff, Jeff, Gary, Ritz, Jimmy "airwolf" Moore, Mark (Scott Krimm's brother in law))

Machine Gun Kelly.....he is the definition of hard core.  I will never forget when he got blasted at home plate and got right up.  He is the toughest guy I know.

13.  You've won the gold glove award, the silver slugger award, the spirit award, and twice won the consistency award of excellence.  What do you think your biggest accomplishment was playing for Peetage?

Hmmmmm I can't think of an individual accomplishment.  I am really proud that I came to play every week.  I think that if you play hard the sky is the limit, and I always gave 100%.  I would like to be described as a "cagey veteran".

14.  Has Anthony Ciatti ever:

Hit for the cycle=  I can't remember for sure, I think I did last fall for the Revolution.
Hit an IHOP waitress=  Nope.  I don't hit females, I caress them and whisper sweet nothings into their ears.
Made sweet love to Goldberg=  No sir, but before I sell him I might sleep with him.
Talked back to Carl=  Yes, I said earlier that he isn't the god-like figure everyone makes him out to be.  He is a good person and I am lucky that he is a friend.
Just wanted to dance=  All the time man.  Especially when there are nice girls around.

15.  Tell us one thing about yourself that the team doesn't already know.

Actually, I really don't think the people on Peatage know me very well at all.  I enjoy long walks on the beach, collecting beanie babies, and Unicorns.  I also enjoy buying frozen apple juice concentrate from discount grocery stores, mixing it with tap water, putting in a bottle with my label on it, and selling it back to the stores.  In my spare time I also like to play softball.

16.  If you could be Carl for one day, what would you do with yourself and to others?

If I was Carl for a day, I'd probably go and kick the living poop out of whoever made the whole "Carl is bigger than Christ" thing up.  Then I would go get some ladies and chillllllllllllllllll.

17.  What are your future baseball plans and do they include poontang pie at any local IHOPs?

My future softball plans are to bring in a new expansion team, tentatively called "The 313" into Livonia Division 6 softball.  We will bring swagger, veteran savvy, and a level of play not previously seen before outside of my home area code.  It will be a fun season indeed.  I don't know if IHOP will be involved.

18.  Word Association.  Mention the first thing that comes to you when you hear:

Hey Man=  Why am I batting 5th???
Tim Orow's cats=  Spawns of Satan
AHHH, MY NOSE=  Damn I hope I didn't ruin Casey's knee
Goldberg=  The Ultimate Softball Companion
Golddust=  FAGGOT
Crazy Carl=  Integrity
Brothers of Destruction=  Mischief and fun
Will your sister make out with me for 20 bucks=  She's a lot cheaper than that you loser....hell I'd make out with you for 20 bucks.

19.  Give us a song lyric that sums up your thoughts about your time on the team?

I WANNA ROCK

20.  Did you enjoy your 20 Questions Anthony Ciatti? (Also use this space to say
anything you want or plug your stuff/website/merchandise.)

Yes, I enjoyed it immensely.  Peatage is a great organization, I am going to miss it.  I wish everyone the very best.  I would be very happy to look at the standings and see Peatage become successful in the Win coulomb, I will be Peatage for life.

Well there you have it.  Anthony was a good sport and certainly delivered the goods.  Thanks for a great interview.
