The First 9000
Years
Ah, the rough and
rowdy days of the earliest struggles. When races flickered into
and out of existence, the inhabitants of Temuair toiling endlessly just
to survive..! Oh, the drama, the scope, the magnitude of these
years! But, um, very little has been written on the first 9,000
years, the first chapters of every story in Temuair... Lazy
Historians again?
Well...
Those points are
valid. Though there wasn't much in the
way of writing going on for those 9,000 years before the first human
civilization, history was still happening. It was just recorded
in different ways. Stories, smells, transaction receipts...
(You know even back then Higglers would have kept receipts. heh)
It may take more effort for Historians to discover, but the elder races
surely know full well what happened back then. Of course, the
Dwarves are a reportedly dying race, the Mukul don't trust outsiders,
basically inter-race relations in Temuair aren't the best.
It is a
great pity so little is known about these
years, as we have lost the origins of our modern age. Without
that foundation, we can't possibly fathom Grinneal's origin without
stabbing blindly in the dark, nor fully understand why things are the
way they are. Maybe someday Historians will spend the effort and
time examining what few remnants remain from the first Aeon and shed
light upon all of Temuair's history.
...Or
not.
