Airsoft in the Law

This is a quick guide to the law and is an interpretation of it, if you want a comprehensive guide please read one of the many others available on the web, I suggest this one, as they are more likely to be accurate than mine….

The Main law that Airsoft is governed by is Firearms law, this limits the muzzle velocities of all projectile firing objects i.e. guns, replicas and so forth. Airsoft toys, which are Fully Automatic, are limited by section5 firearm law and thus have a maximum muzzle velocity of 383fps with .2g ammunition.

Single shot bolt action style weapons can go up to a much higher velocity as they are governed by air rifle law, but sites will have limits on velocities.

Finally

NEVER take your Airsoft toy into the street and use it in any way. this will lead to an Armed response team arriving and there MP5’s are REAL.
