Fighting Hedgehogs Armoury
Steyr AUG - 5.56mm Assault Rifle
The Steyr AUG (Military Version) replica by Tokyo Marui is an AEG which fires at approx 260 fps in its stock form. This is the unit's main weapon. Several have been upgraded to fire at approx 330 fps - the maximum speed allowed under UK firearms law. This example is shown with a bayonet fitted for display purposes only.
The Light Support Weapon version of the Steyr AUG is the H-Bar. It is basically the same weapon with an extended barrel and bipod. You can see the standard barrel in the picture above. This example is shown with a tac-light fitted for urban and night operations. The tac-light and H-Bar barrel are not designed to be used together. The H-Bar fires at aprox 330 fps - slightly less with the standard barrel fitted.
IMI Desert Eagle .50AE - Side Arm
The Isreal Military Industries (I.M.I.) Desert Eagle .50AE replica by KWC is a gas powered pistol with realistic blow-back action. One of the largest and most powerful handguns available, both in real terms and the airsoft equivalent. The Command Staff carry these pistols as side arms.
Pyrotechnical Devices
These Pyrotechnics are used by the unit at various times and for various purposes. At the bottom of the image is a Smoke Grenade, used to provide a quick screen of smoke to cover an advance or withdrawal. Above, from left to right is a BB Grenade Mk II, a BB Stick Grenade and a Mk V Thunderflash, all of which are used to eliminate opposing players behind cover or inside rooms.
All are completely bio-degradable - the larger grenades contain dried peas instead of plastic BBs, all the pyrotechnic casings are made from cardboard and the charges themselves leave no harmful residue.
