Many of you are aware of my special affinity

I am sure you chaps have already heard me rant and rave about a new guitar Guru. Well, finally, i was able to get some photos of him so the long anticipated web page is finally up and running. First off, let me say that I "kind of" (barely, hardly, okay fine, i know what a guitar looks like...) play guitar. I love the instrument and i love music so i do worship good guitar players. Most of my exposure has been to super humans, like, Jimi Hendrix and Mike McCready (I met him remember??)..... But this fellow Philip Sayce is by far the most inspirational player I have ever seen (sorry McCready…)!! Oh yeah, he had a great voice too (Ed Vedder is still the man in that department though ....). Phil has this symbiotic relationship with his Fender Squire (I think). The things he is capable of doing is nothing short of breathtaking. Watching him play is in itself a gift. Words really cannot describe his talent. I am not even sure a poet could put his gift into words. What's more, he is by far one of the most extraordinary people I have ever met. Kind, thoughtful and brilliant. It is truly and honour to know this man. He is currently living in LA, fine tuning his talent so I do not get to see him that often. He does, however, wander up north to play at the Blues on Belair club downtown (yuck - man, i hate downtown, but i voluntarily go down there just to see this guy play). Trust me, you will be amazed, I guarantee it (if you are not amazed by his talent, I will give you my pearl jam collection – Kelly C and Brian J. S, this does not apply to you, since I know you will find some excuse to get the pearly stuff). You have to see this guy play!!!! Philip is a diamond waiting to be discovered, so imagine telling your kids and grand kids that you actually met him and spoke with him at a local pub ..FAN-FREEEKING-TASTIC!!! Sorry to go on an on about that, but it is not often that I am so moved by something. By the way, I think I now know what happened to Jimi Hendrix's spirit. So that makes two guitar guru's hands I have shook (Mike and Phil). Thanks for reading. p.s. I still love pearl jam and Mikey, but for sure, phil is the next best thing.......

He does some super stuff with his guitar, but my camera broke so I was
not able to capture any of that. Oh well, next time.

These are the newest pictures of Phil's performance in Toronto.
I went out and purchased a new camera so I could capture his brilliance.
He starts off with some amazing lix....
Starts jamming with his cool base player.....Harpo (i hope i spelled
that right)
Oh to play and perform like this fellow!!!
"Purple Haze" - Jimi's spirit is alive and well.......
The multitude of foot pedals.....Did i mention that he gave me one
of his wah wah pedals?? Oh yes!!
My oh my, oh my!!! I thought only Jimi Hendrix did that.
Seeing is believing!!!!
Look at this!! Look at this!!! What a performer, he makes playing
with a ketchup bottle sound good!!!!!
Brilliant, simply brilliant. Like I said, words really cannot
do his talent any justice.
Oh yes, that is Casius on drums. A brown boy!!!! Peace
out brother.
What a fantastic player and all round class act.
He is currently touring with the Jeff Healey band (yes, the Jeff Healey
band)
Such amazing people (Philip and his crew, I mean!)!!
Every time I get my photo taken with a celebrity, I look like a total
dork.
Then again, I have been told that i always look like a dork.
This was all made possible because of Saba. If not for her I
would never know Phil and i would never go downtown!!
Boy do I hate downtown!! What's with all those freaking 1 way streets?
p.s. Again, i look like a dork! So it is true what they say.....
