Pearce's Cat Scrapbook
Various pictures of "King" Edward
Purchased in 1989 from a "cattery" in Johnstown's poor side of town, Edward was a birthday gift from the kids. He/she was the runt of the litter and first thought to be a female, so he/she was named Edna Gray after our late, dear aunt. The vet was kind enough to inform us of his gender when he was to be neutered, so he (the cat, that is) came to be known as Edward (usually just Eddie). He's grown to be rather asssertive and thus the title "King Edward."

Ed HAS to be wherever people are, and he loves when Susan plays polkas on the organ!

Edward may not smile much, but he's enjoying the music.
Susan has a real handful here!

Keenya, the little orphan

We found this little urchin in the barn one cold and snowy November morning. We simply don't have any idea where she came from. Our ads for the owner went unanswered, and so she became part of the family. Her African name means "born in the morning."

Figaro, the new baby
One Sunday afternoon as I was adjusting the TV antenna on the roof anticipating an afternoon of Steelers football, I heard the loudest "singing" up in the woods. I climbed down the ladder to find a kitten so small that she could barely walk through the grass. I called her Figaro because of her excellent vocal abilities and handed her over to Susan. Fig's been the most fun!
