| Other important historical years were 1990 and 1991. The Sanrio Company opened the two main theme parks. One is "Sanrio Puro Land" which opened in December 1990 at Tama City, Tokyo. The other is "Sanrio Harmony Land" which opened in April 1991 on Kyushu Island. Because of two parks, Sanrio's characters had a significant impact on many children, just like Disney characters in "Tokyo Disney Land" and "Tokyo Disney Sea". |
