It is in the year 1799, and the small town of Sleepy Hollow is having problems with the ghost of a murdering headless horseman, so they send a leter for help to New York.(It is south of the town.) After a while, they are sent a constable named Ichabod Crane. He is told about the horseman, but does not beleive them until one day he sees it. While in Sleepy Hollow, Ichabod meets Katrina Van Tassel, who is very kind, and is also befriended by a boy named Young Masbath. After gathering many clues, Ichabod beleives that Katrina's father, Baltus Van Tassel, is controling the horseman, but is later proven wrong, and finds that it is Katrina's stepmother. She tried to get revenge on the Van Tassels and Van Garrets for evicting her home as a child. In the end, she is destroyed by the horseman and Katrina and Young Masbath move to New York with Ichabod when he goes home. |
