| Corkscrew Willow (Salix matsudana 'Tortulosa'): Fast growing small shade/large ornamental tree with twisted branches to add inerest to any winter landscape. Branches also great for use in cut arrangements. Will grow 35-40'. 3'-4' $7.50 9'-10', $45; 5-7'', $19.00; Rosemary Willow (Salix eleagnus) An unusual shrub with silver-blue foliage resembling that of rosemary. The purple red bark of young stems makes this a 4 season plant. While from asia minor, this plant has done great hear at the nursery... a must have. Especialy recomeded for that wet poorly drained area. 6'+, $49.00 Golden Weeping Willow (Salix alba 'Tristis'): Fast growing large tree. This tree has the typical weeping willow habit, but with yellow branches in the winter. Mature height 50'-60' 5-6', $15.00, 6-7' $25.00 8'-9' $45.00 12'+ $145.00 Flame Willow (Salix x flame) Nice fast growing medium sized shade tree reaching 35'. In the summer the silvery leaves offer a filtered shade but in the winter this tree comes alive with waxy apple red coloration in the branches... stands out in any landscape. 4' $10.00 Rose Glow Barberry (Berberis thunbergii 'Rose Glow') Deep red leaves are mottled with pink. Very addaptable to most soils, but requires full sun for best color. Produces red berries which remain into winter. 3', $17.00 (B. thunbergii var Autopurpurea) 1-2' $6.00 Bald Cypress (Taxodium distichum) This is our native deciduous conifer. The featherlike needles turn a stunning bronze in fall. If grown in wet areas it will produce knees, but also has good drought tolerance) Height 50'-70' 5', $23.00 6-7' $35.00 Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba) One of the oldest species in the world... a living fossel. Fan shaped leaves turn stunning yellow in fall and usualy fall from tree in 1-2 days for one time raking. Slow growing, but can reach 80'. 4' $15.00 Loblolly Pine (Pinus teada) Hardy yellow pine grown from local seed source. Rapid grower, maturing 60'. 2-3+' $6.00, 4' $15.00, 6' $45.00 Callery Pear (Pyrus calleryana 'Aristocrat Seedling') In all practicality, the same as the well known Bradford Pear, but with more horizontal branching giving it more reistance to storm damage. Rapid growing with good fall color. Mature height: 35'. (well bracnced specimans) 2+" cal (9-12') $60.00 Yoshino Cherry (Prunus x yedoensis) Fast growing ornamental tree will be covered with pail pink flower in spring. Branching structure is horizontal vase shape to grace larger upright trees. One can see many mature specimans on the UTM campus. Mature height 30-35'. 7-8', $45.00, 8-10' $75.00 There are many other speciman plants growing in the Peach Grove fields, so be sure to take a look at what I have....
