Leader Meeting Agenda


1. Introductions: Sam, Kathy, Sherry, Nikki, Jennifer, Rhonda, Gina S, Melody, Gina L

2. Financial status: 782.41

3. Council Rep. : Sam – Mall overnighter cancelled rescheduling to later in spring. Spring recruitment. double check roster, new form for fundraising or service projects.

4. Past events: Jan Potluck – 39 scouts. Church returned check because they brought me in and taught me sound system

5. Cookie info: Gina S – should have forms turned in to cookie person today and cookie person entered into computer by the 4th

6. future events:

a. February – FROW valentine tea – Marsha – Feb 7th
i. family life center reserved from 8:30-10:30
ii. time 9:00-10am
iii. activities donut holes and milk decorate paper “t”shirt cupid shuffle
iv. estimated cost?
v. Marsha/Melody picking up key

b. March – Lock-in – service unit – Middle River Friends Church March 27-28. 6:00 leaders 6:30 eat before --- “Camp Rock” date and time reserved.
i. each troop must meet safety wise ratio. Daisy’s must have adult spend the night if they are staying the night. All other troops it is up to that leader to decide based on their knowledge of their girls. If safety wise ratio is not covered by their troop those girls will not be allowed to stay without their own parent there as that also follows safety wise rules. Girls with a male staying with them will have separate rooms to sleep in.
ii. 6 rotation groups – daisy’s, 889, 381, 524, 550, & (690, 599, 386)
iii. scavenger hunt while arriving
iv. give girls info on trail markings set up different colored markers to take girls from station to station. So when get done with a station they are told to follow the blue markers, then next station they have to follow another color.
v. Stations:
1. setting up tents and teach knots if need to kill time – check with Don Noonan,
2. make musical instruments (start saving craft supplies now – boxes, old beans, paper tubes, pringles cans, etc) Sherry everyone bring supplies Feb leaders to see what need
3. singing camp songs Dawnette
4. cooking – banana boats Rhonda
5. teaching dance moves – someone from dance group in town want to ask dance instructor(s) to come? Or else is there someone who knows how to teach some dance? Marsha/Melody/or trained perfessional
6. First aid – building stretcher, buddy carries, Kathy
vi. movie: “Camp Rock”
vii. Costs: Popcorn $25 ? indianola movie theater Bananas case $20-$22 Apples 3 – 12.00
1. charging per girl with family max ? $5/girl or $10/family will have donation to church

f. July – still too early to get signed up for booth and such, but I have already set the sign up sheet for shifts online. It’s same as last year, but I’m hoping for more volunteers for the parade route and also hoping to get enough workers to fill all the remaining blank spots.
