Leader Meeting Agenda


1. Introductions: Kathy, Rhonda S, Gina, Melody, Jennifer, Marsha, Debbie S

2. Financial status: same minus a couple reciepts

3. Council Rep. : Deb L. not able to be here – she called and let me know: leader training booklets sent out this week, activity books should be mailed out in next couple of week, reminder all cookie parents need to be registered with girl scouts since they are handling money.

4. Past events:
Jan. event: 45 girls – need to adjust more main courses, less desserts, next year everyone bring a main and then assign side/dessert. need to work on sound.
Feb. event: 29 girls – super bowl weekend, dad’s, nice weather
patches have been ordered
Kathy – send picture and jot for paper with thanks to businesses, email picture to dawnette
start assigning clean-up to troops
5. Mar. event: lock-in March 7-8 check-in 5:30-6:00, leaders 5pm Pick-up 7:30am
turn in head count week ahead of time. cost is for girl(s) parent coming is free but we need head count for food.
a. Check-in people: Gina, Rhonda S, Melody
b. First aider: Rhonda B
c. Pre event games/songs: older girls doing… Jennifer over seeing
d. Each troop must have 2 adults unless need more per safety wise
e. Serving meal – Pizza picking up pizza Gina
f. Cost - $10/girl $20/family max
g. Movie: “The Westing Game”
h. snack: popcorn – Gina
i. breakfast – Rhonda B
j. drinks – Dawnette is checking with someone and will report back Kathy will Check with Dawnette and then Dee
k. twist top with name on it. for supper

6. April event: craft fair
a. April 5? leaders check dates and get back with Kathy
b. Rhonda S, Marsha K have kereoke machines for awards
c. time?
d. place?
e. 4 stations with a craft. cookies, candle, oragami, may baskets
f. will need to know costs to figure charging - will be a small cost for girls

7. May event: need ideas. - email them to Kathy - possible camping

8. Next Leader Meeting: March 3rd – 6:00pm - Methodist Church.

stations for lock-in:

#1 Finger prints: Rhonda Smith - girls will learn the basics of finger printing & make their own print cards needed: cards and ink Rhonda has both.

#2 Secret codes: Marsha K. decode a secret code & then a team work where they come up with their own code needed: coded message(s) for start, paper, pencils

#3 Scent detectives: Jennifer - different scents put in jars, sniff to figure out what they are like: lemon, vinegar, vanilla... needed: jars (baby food jars?) and the items to put in Gina has jars.

#4 Feeling things: NEED STATION PERSON - feathers, felt, sand, etc... blindfolded or have items under sheet - feel and figure out what they are.

#5 Police chase: NEED STATION PERSON this will be in part of the old gym.... car made from cardboard to fit 2 scouts. work together to race through an obstacle course needed: car - Kathy will make up, cones for course - Kathy has, any other obstacle you can think to bring, and a stop watch (anyone got one?)

#6 Craft: Debbie S. police sketch decorated. lay down on big paper & have another scout sketch you out... then color & dress up needed: washable markers, butcher paper - I will check with my meat department

#7 Mystery food: Yetti - unless you can think of things that we can do that don't have to worry about allergies I was thinking taking jello but using food coloring to make different colors and make them figure out the flavor by taste needed: bowls, food... I sent out message to leaders to find out about allergies.
