4. Council Rep. Time:
a. Council merge is taking place. 5 councils merging into 1 the new name is Greater Iowa. Des Moines Council Office is the main office, but other offices will still be used. Karen Grody is new CEO for the new Council.
b. needing people to work State Fair booth. Contact Carla Parker if interested.
c. this year the program books will be mailed to all registered scouts and leaders.

5. Fall Sign-ups Date: Sep. 10th Old Gym� time 7pm All leaders, Co-Leaders, and Assistants must attend and be there at 6:30!
a. Melody is bringing forms and pens
b. we�ll set up tables brought up from the multipurpose room.
c. having parents in bleachers and short talk about what scouts is about, getting volunteers for leaders, and then passing out forms.

6. Family Camp Out
a. Date Sep 22nd Time 3pm leaders, 4pm families Place Webbs
b. Activities: Kathy � String Course, Anny � Balloon Launch, Gina � Song/story, Melody � Parachute, Kathy � Cobbler
c. Items needed: Debbie is checking with Fizz for taco meat, Kathy will get the rest of food, firewood is donated by Nesselroad family

7. Future events: will be waiting to double check dates when we find out when homecoming, prom, and such are from school calendar

8. Stand &/or Posters for open house � Gina will be putting up flyers, and dropping off flyers to give out at school, and Dawnette is bring something for us to look at to use at signups. Gina is checking on getting a big sign made to put up to announce sign-ups.

9. unit fundraiser ideas: checking on rules for a 4th of July booth

10. Suggestion(s) for improving leader participation: none as of yet, but next year each troop will be responsible for 1 unit event including getting volunteers to run activities.

11. Suggestion(s) for improving fun/participation for girls at unit events

b. Fun badges for some of our events each year ($1.00-$2.00 each) Ordered after for exact head count � we�ve decided yes on this� this year there will be 3 � the FROW, potluck/talent show, and FROG.
