My Dogs
These pictures aren't really of my dogs, but they look a lot like that.  I will have pictures of my dogs up as soon as I have access to a scanner.  As I said on the about me page, I have two dogs.  They are both female labrador retrievers born on April 11, 2001. Thier names are Ursa and Sierra.  They are both black, and very cute.  I'm not biased or anything though.  We live with my inlaws right now and they also have two black labs from the same litter.  Their names are Star and Buddy. Even though they all look very similar and came from the same litter, they each have their own personality. They are all very sweet and very protective.  I used to be terrified of dogs when I was little.  My mom is still shocked that I have such big dogs and I'm not scared of them at all.  I can see how a stranger could be though.  I just know that I love them all very very much.  I'm very lucky to have them, and I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world.
I never thought I'd have a dog, but I didn't know what I was missing out on.  When my father-in-law brought home two adorable puppies, I had to have one.  The two were Star and Sierra.  Sierra was supposed to be my brother-in-law's dog, but I kinda adopted her.  I also went and picked put my own puppy from the litter.  That was my little Ursa.  She was the chubbiest puppy there and I knew right away that she was mine.  A while later, my father-in-law went back to get another puppy for my brother-in-law and that turned out to be our only boy, Buddy.  He ended up being my mother-in-law's dog because he's a ladies' man.
Ursa is still chubby, very cute, stubborn, pushy, the leader of the pack, smart, and mama's little baby.  She's so spoiled, but she is my baby.  She can tell when I'm upset and she always tries to make me feel better. She's also Daddy's girl.
Sierra is an extremely playful, agile, sweet, cuddly, little troublemaker with a huge heart and a great smile.  I swear, she smiles.   We are so lucky to have her.  She brightens everybody's day and loves to get in my lap, even though she weighs over 70 pounds!  She'll always be my puppy though.
Star is definitely my father-in-law's dog.  She clings to him every second she's with him.  She's very sweet, a little timid, shy, but a very loveable dog.  She's a little weird sometimes, so we also call her Alien from time to time.  She does this thing every night where she bucks like a Bronco, and we call it her Starbuck.  She's an excellent dog!
Buddy is a gentle giant.  He's the tallest dog with the biggest head, but he's skinny and very shy.  He's also really timid and sweet.  He definitely loves the ladies, sticking mostly with my mother-in-law.  He's the calmest, most gentle dog I've ever seen.  He sometimes seems a little slow so we call him Buddy Gump.
I just love all my babies so much and I'm so glad to have them in my life.  I've been very blessed to know them and to love and be loved by them.  Dogs may not live as long as people, physically, but they make such an impression on our lives that they definitely live on in our hearts forever.
