FINALLY! |
"Yuki, I_" To-ya stared at his long time friend and took a deep breath. |
"To-ya?" Yuki turned and looked at the other boy, who was looking more serious than usual, "Dajoubu?" |
"Hai, Yuki I wanted to_." |
"TADAIMA!!!!!!!" a genki voice called from the hallway and To-ya collapsed back on to the sofa with a groan. Flinging his arm over his eyes he called out, "Welcome home - Kaijuu." |
As expected there was a short silence before the bellow of, "I'm not a Kaijuu!" |
Yuki smothered a laugh at their antics and looked down at his friend. The laughter died in his throat and was replaced with something else as his eyes travelled down from To-ya's face, over his t-shirt covered chest and finally came to rest on the snug denim that bunched between To-ya's legs. |
Flushing brightly, and glad To-ya couldn't see it he coughed and looked in the doorway to banish the naughty thoughts that had suddenly risen in his mind. His inner voice called him a hentai; but his other inner voice -Yue, told him to stop being stupid. |
"Yukito-san!" Sakura's genki voice allowed him to break away from Yue and his thoughts without having to come up with a retort. |
"Konichiwa Sakura-chan," he smiled at her; he held special feelings in his heart for Sakura - she was like the sister he never had and part of the family he almost felt he belonged to, "if only that was true," he thought wistfully casting a covert eye over To-ya who had thankfully sat up, and was looking mischievous as the target of his teasing entered the room. |
True to form To-ya opened his mouth and grinned, "I thought I heard a Kaijuu stomping through the house." |
Also true to form, Sakura grew red and raised her foot then put it back on the floor, it was only Yuki's presence that prevented To-ya from getting a sore foot. She settled instead for growling, "Oniichan I am not a Kaijuu." |
"I don't know," To-ya looked at her and scratched his chin thoughtfully, "Looks like a Kaijuu, sounds like a Kaijuu_" he trailed off and held his shin and winced in pain as Sakura kicked him - hard. Turning to face Yuki she bowed politely, "Gomen nasai Yukito-san" and left the room. Yuki could hear her giggling as she climbed the stairs. |
To-ya looked up at the snow bunny and glared, "Stop laughing Yuki." |
The giggles that Yuki had been hiding erupted and he fell back against the sofa, "Gomen To-ya - but you deserved that." And dissolved into giggles again. |
With a sigh, To-ya leant back as well and stared into his friend's golden eyes, "Yuki_" |
"WAI WAI! PUDDING!" the deafening screech from the kitchen halted his words and he gave up; he knew when he was beaten, "I'll tell you later Yuki." |
Yuki nodded and soon Sakura joined them again, this time carrying a tea tray. Placing it on the table she beamed at Yuki. |
"Tousan made some cake," she gestured at the tray, and at Yuki's snort of laughter looked down and promptly scowled, "Kero-chan!" |
If there had been any cake on the tray, it had gone. Instead a fat little lion was patting his stomach and wiping the crumbs from his face. |
"Ma Yuki, we should do some of our homework," To-ya stood and flicking Kero off of the tray picked it up and left the room with Yuki following. |
Sakura's scowl deepened, despite having told Yuki how she felt, and having found out that her Oniichan was Yuki's love, she still wanted to spend time with him, and the "Thanks for the tea KAIJUU" that floated down the stairs really irritated her. |
In To-ya's room, Yuki was lecturing To-ya about his sister complex and being nice to the little girl. Having heard it all before, To-ya nodded appropriately and put the tray on the desk. Turning he straightened and looked his friend in the eye. The direct stare stopped Yuki's words and he watched as his friend came closer. He stopped himself from blushing as To-ya's cool palm was laid against his cheek. |
"Yuki - I wanted to tell you something." To-ya's voice was serious and Yuki nodded slightly, he didn't want to move his head too much in case his cheek lost contact with To-ya's hand. |
"For a long time now, I've wanted to say," To-ya's face came closer to his, "I've wanted to say," their lips were nearly touching and Yuki was holding his breath; To-ya moved a fraction and their lips were ghosting against each other, "Aishiteru Yuki." |
Yuki's eyes widened. Raising his hand he took hold of To-ya's and moved it from his cheek. Seeing the worry building in his friend's eyes, he smiled and wrapped his arms about the taller boy's neck, "I love you too To-ya, Aishiteru zutto." |
To-ya wrapped his arms about the snow bunny's slender waist, and leant his face down to capture Yuki's lips with his own. |
Inside of Yuki, a cold impassive guardian let a rare smile twist the corner of his mouth as he watched two of the small group of people dearest to him, enjoy the beginnings of their own special love. With a soft sigh that sounded like the name of a long dead magician, he slipped into sleep and allowed them their privacy. |
