SOMEWHERE OUT THERE. |
It's been over two months since I last saw him, since I last held my angel close to me. |
/Somewhere out there beneath the pale moonlight |
Someone's thinking of me and loving me tonight./ |
He came to me after the disaster at the New Edward's Base, he understood my need to take care of Heero without his help - financial or otherwise. |
It was that night he shyly stretched up onto tiptoes, his gentle hands pressed against my chest for the support he needed to balance, and kissed me. |
/Somewhere out there someone's saying a prayer |
That we'll find one another in that big somewhere out there./ |
Not long ago, OZ resumed its hostilities and I worry that there will come a time where one of us will have our hearts broken. When Heero awoke after his month long coma, he told me that people should always live true to their emotions. He confessed to me that his heart was divided, between the gentle Pacifist girl and the violet-eyed God of Death. |
I'm glad my own heart holds no such confusion - only a warm bright glow that comes from loving my angel. |
/And even though I know how very apart we are |
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star./ |
Looking into the sky at the twinkling stars; I let a wistful smile curl the corners of my mouth. He once told me that he liked to look at the stars from Earth, and then search the sky for his own colony. Automatically I find it in the sky and feel the smile broaden. Earlier in the evening I used the sensors in HeavyArms to locate him; in a way it hurts even more knowing exactly how far away he is from me. |
/And when the night starts to sing a lonesome lullaby |
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky./ |
But perhaps, just perhaps he is looking into the sky right now, and thinking of me. The warmth in my heart soothes the pain and I can almost imagine him by my side, here with me again. |
/Somewhere out there if love can see us through |
Then we'll be together somewhere out there. |
Out where dreams come true./ |
When he first kissed me, I was stunned and didn't say a word. But as he moved away in crimson cheeked embarrassment I clasped hold of his hands and pulled him close. |
If there is one thing that war teaches you, it is that life is too short, and every moment should be as precious as if it were your last. So as I bent to capture his lips, I whispered my declaration of love. |
/And even though I know how very apart we are |
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star./ |
His words that night, sustain me through this time. I no longer take reckless risks in battle, I always keep an eye on my ammo now - I never want to bring tears to my beloved's eyes. |
/And when the night wind starts to sing a lonely lullaby |
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky./ |
Although I have sworn to protect the colonies with my life, I've sworn to protect you with all my heart - and somewhere along the line, this vow became more important to me. Because when this is all over, if you will still have this sad nameless clown - we can be together. |
/Somewhere out there if love can see us through |
Then we'll be together somewhere out there |
Where dreams come true./ |
We'll both have to make it through this alive, because no matter what, Quatre - I love you. |
END. |
