S~ All!
Have you upgraded your CFS2 AI planes to fly but you can't land them on a carrier because they don't have tailhooks? And, some of the other CFS2 stock planes have the same problem because of no tailhooks?

Well, now they have tailhooks and ALL the CFS2 planes (bombers too) can land on the carriers!

I took the tailhooks from the A6M2 Zero and put it on all the Japanese planes; and I put the Corsair tailhook on all the US planes. I simply copied and pasted this information into each planes "aircraft.cfg" file.

I also added folding wings to the following planes: Kate, Val, Avenger. I tried it with the others, but they still wouldn't fold. Again, all I did was add it to each plane's aircraft.cfg file.

I changed nothing else ...so everything else is EXACTLY the way it came in the game.

Again, ALL of the planes will have tailhooks now, although you can't see them on : B25d, Liberator, P38, Airacobra, George, Oscar, Betty, A6M5 Zero, C47 -- the tailhood IS there and will stop you on the carrier if you hit the cables, but I don't know why you can't see the tailhook!

To add the tailhooks and folding wings just do the following:
1)Backup the ORIGINAL plane's "aircraft.cfg" file by making a copy of it within the plane's main folder (copy it, paste it back in and it will say: "copy of aircraft.cfg"). Now it is saved and safe in case you make any error or you have problems with the new version of the file -If you have a problem with the new file, just delete the file you just installed and rename "copy of aircraft.cfg" back to "aircraft.cfg" and your plane will be the way it originally was from the CFS2 cd (ie: no tailhook or folding wings where applicable).

2)Unzip the enclosed files. Each of my folders is named for the plane the new "aircraft.cfg" file belongs to. Open my folder, copy the "aircraft.cfg" file and paste it into the corresponding CFS2 plane's MAIN folder - where the file "copy of aircraft.cfg" resides. When you have done this properly, you will see both files: "aircraft.cfg" and "copy of aircraft.cfg" . Save and close the plane's folder and now it has a tailhook and those planes listed above will have folding wings!

In the game, to drop the tailhook press: SHIFT+H (cfs2 commands) or SHIFT+G (cfs1 settings).
To fold/unfold the wings press: SHIFT+W (cfs2 commands) or SHIFT+F (cfs1 commands).

Legal note (like on all download sites): I take no responsibility for anything that may happen to your computer from these files. Use them at your own risk. My computer has no virus's and all the files have been tested and work fine in my CFS2!

Happy landings!
