The Peace Lover's is a name of the singing group that spread the
message of
Peace through music. It sings and performs in the schools and rural
areas by
singing peace songs.
It targets the children so that children teach children and learn to
conquer
the world by love.
BACK GROUND:
Pakistan has been under extremist influence, where the religious
extremist,
the army and feudal have been ruling the people of Pakistan. Different
methods were used to keep themselves in power and prolong their regimes
and
tenures.
The children of the rural areas were trained in the MADRASAS (religious
formation houses of the extremists) for Holy war and they grew up in
this
environment where they learnt only to restore peace through violence.
Therefore children being brought up in the last 30 years have been
spoilt
psychologically and they only know about Jihad and nothing else. They
are
convinced that Peace could be restored through violence.
Hence in the last 30 years this s what a child has learnt and the youth
and
child have been involved in Holy war against the infidels. Therefore a
child
of today does not understand the language of peace and harmony. He does
not
understand that through peaceful methods peace and harmony can be
restored
and achieved.
PLAN:
The plan of PL is to reach at least one area a month, so that school
children members of the group are not over burdened.
One of the main targets of this group is to produce audio tapes on
peace so
that they could be distributed free of cost among the children where
the
performance is made.
This will have a very positive effect when some thing is given to
children
and they will remember the event and the message could be heard by the
children during their free times and different social functions in the
schools and in the villages.
