I softly laid Christie on the floor. I made a decision right then. I was going to do it. I walked & pressed the button on the wall. I walked away from the door & Dr. Newman came into the room.
�What did you need Mr. Dorough,�
she asked.
�I don�t think you need to wait an hour for your answer. You want one of us, you have me,� I told him, �but I want you to let Christie sleep & let her go when she wakes up.�
�OK Mr. Dorough, but why do you want me to wait to wake Christie.�
�Because if you wake her she might try to fight you to get to me.�
�Good point. Now I want you to come with me, but first you must put these on� he said as he held up some handcuffs.

I turned around & allowed him to put on the cuffs. He led me down the hall to another room. Soon I felt some pressure in my neck & I fell to the floor. When I woke up I didn�t have a shirt on & I was held down by metal clasps. I had an IV in my arm. My body felt so weak. I tried to move, but a sharp pain in my neck stopped me. I looked around, but my sight was very blurry. Dr. Newman came into the room & told me a very angry Christie had just been escorted outside. I now knew that there was no turning back now. I had to do this to save Christie & Kara. I was asked if I wanted to pray before I was knocked out again. I did & prayed for my family & Christie. When I was finished they placed a mask over my mouth. I whispered goodbye & fell into a deep sleep.
